loved Nujabes production style, it was simple, basically layered samples over a drum loop, but he could make something "simple" sound freakin amazing!...listening to his tracks would remind me of the days when eriku and I would hang in his garage, dig through records trying to find that obscure sample and make beats on his SP1200...

I needed to decorate my newly designated work desk in my home office(ie. the corner of my bedroom) so I picked up the FULLY POSEABLE figma K-ON! figures from Max Factory

I've never read the manga or watched the anime but these figures looked pretty kick ass, especially with the detail of their instruments, maybe thats why they're kinda pricey but I was able to find them on ebay at a pretty good price

besides their instruments, each figure comes with several interchangeable hands, 2 additional faces, different pair of shoes and an extra bag, guitar cases for the 2 guitar players and a small school bag for the other 2 girls.......Max Factory recently released an Azusa Nakano figma figure(she plays guitar as well) so I'll have to get my hands on that one ASAP..once I do, it'll be like having my very own mini SCANDAL(plus a keyboardess) sitting on my desk! which by the way, is the main reason i got these figures

this is gravure idol Rui Kiriyama..like Ai Shinozaki, she is very VERY talented but seems to more willing to strike that suggested pose which can't be said about Ai...I ain't complaining though, Ai could be sitting in a chair playing a fauckin banjo and it'll still be hot...but I digress....Rui Kiriyama everyone!

the Winter Olympics is something I typically don't watch, with the exception of luge and skeleton(that shit is crazy, how could you NOT watch?!) but this year, I totally got into it...maybe it was because NBC hyped it up just enough to make it look interesting or, maybe it was because we had a couple monitors at work stuck on Olympic coverage 24/7 or, maybe cuz I wanted to see my asian brethren, Apollo Ono(1/2 japanese) and JR Celski(1/2 filipino) kick ass in speedskating OR, maybe it was because the japanese curling team aka Team Aomori aka Curling Musume were just tiny and darn cute...but really, the one event that had me glued to the tv was women's figure skating...gay?..no, men's figure skating is gay so if you watch that shit, you're a certified gay...with women's figure skating you could oggle the likes of Miki Ando, Mao Asada and the very sexy Yu-na Kim
