When I think of American TV I think of high value productions, good looking performers, and programs I used to like such as "Buffy", "Quantum Leap", "Star Trek", etc.
British TV is more or less the opposite of that. There are probably some exceptions but I can't think of them right now...

Canada = "Due South" I liked that (for awhile).
