Raising a Son - Want Your Input

Okay, is it just my son or are boys generally just a pain in the butt starting at a young age? Most of you bloggers on this site are boys (or men, whatever) so I wanted to get your input.

Is it common for boys to be smart-asses at the young ripe age of 2? Today's example...my son has been in non-listening mode today. When I asked him what his problem was, he said "You, you me problem" as he walks off laughing. It was actually kinda funny, so I had a hard time finishing off the lecture. Plus, ever since he left the Cruz residence for vacation, his response to any type of lecturing is to pretend to sleep and snore until the lecturer gives up. So, lecturing is not quite working anyway!

Damn that's funny. Boy am I glad I don't have kids right now. I know when the time comes for me to have kids I'll be blessed with a whole tribe of smart asses. Good luck with that.

To this day I give my family HELL. I KNOW I'm in for it when I have kids. Great, time to work on improving my karma .

Ya, eriku, if your fart karma is anything like the smart-ass karma then yes, you will have a LOT of smart-ass comments to deal with. Everyone told me that your own kid is always worse than you. Now, I am paying for whatever I said to my folks!

I think you're paying for that time you got into it with mom and she got so pissed that you were yelling back at her that she threatened to cut your long hair... -that was awesome.

She was just jealous of my hair...that's all that was! :)
