Project related shows..its been a few months since they "graduated," so I think its about damn time that these girls release a new single as solo artists or back as a duo..my god, can you imagine if they reformed GAM?!!..jeebus christ, I would be a very, very happy man..

YODC's Turning 4!! Super Terrific Happy Exciting Contest

tis true indeed, YODC celebrates its 4th year in existence July 25th and to commemorate this milestone, we are holding a contest..contest you say?..YES a contest. The rules are plain and simple, send in a picture or video of yourself showing some YODC love. Get creative, make a HUGE sign, carve our initials in the sand at the beach, do a little dance, ANYTHING you can think of. And yes, their will be prizes!!

didn't take many pics at the con but I'm pretty sure SoG did and I know Eriku took some video footage..so here's my pics of the very busy H!P booth who by the way had one hot looking chick working there(no pics of her, sorry)..she looked just like gravure idol Minase Yashiro


suprisingly, most of the merch they had were decently price(except for the Hangry Angry plushies that went for over $100 each) albiet it wasn't much. Only a couple shirts, photo sets, poster, ect...I was hoping for more though but with H!P opening up a US online shop via Japanfiles soon, I wasn't too disappointed

Another Quick AX Report

last day for us here, headin back to the Bay in the morning..today was less hectic than the previous 2 since we didn't have to wait in any lines..highlights were catching to unexpected idol performances..1st was at a booth for MangaGamer.com...they had 3 seperate idols rotating and singing songs from some of their games(I think)...they were pretty good but unfortunately I don't remember their names but eriku caught some video footage of it though and he'll be posting those clips up...this booth also had the BEST booth babes of the con too.

Second performance was from a group called C-ZONE..these girls put on a great performance and I was able to get some good pics of them prior to taking the stage warming up, stretching and such...unfortunately our internet connection at the hotel sucks donkey balls so you'll have to wait till I get back to YODC headquarters to upload them...in the meantime here's some clips of the performance I found on youtube..enjoy

and the wota's were out in force for both performances...half-assed "gaijin" wota at the Manga Gamer booth and the professional japanese wota for the C-ZONE performance..pics and videos for those will be eventually put up as well..and man, those nihonjin wota are intense

Kohaku

sorry, this isn't about the NHK Kohaku Utagassen end of the year program..its japanese koi fish. my dad has a decent size koi pond in the backyard so I bought him a few imported koi for christmas..I got them from a shop locally that imports the koi from japan so they cost me a pretty penny but I think they're well worth it for several reason, 1)because, well..they're from japan(either from farms in Isawa or Niigata prefectures) 2)they come from "champion" blood lines which is a bonus if my dad ever decides to sell them cuz they could fench a price of a thousand or more..and 3) look at them!!..they're fauckin gorgeous!!...can't wait to see them mature and watch their patterns really develop..

these 2 are Kohaku Koi's measuring 5"-6"...in a few months, they'll be double or even triple in size

I was planning on just buying the 2 Kohaku's for my dad but this black one really caught my eye..its either classified as a Karasu or a Hajiro..you can't really tell from the pictures but it has a white belly, white fins and white lips...very unusual color pattern, I've actually never scene one like this before today

THIS is what I'm hoping the 2 Kohaku's will develop into(not my fish, found the pic online)...I'll try to remember to take pics as these fish grow bigger and bigger...I'll also try to remember to get pics of the koi already in my dad's pond..they're grotesquely huge as eriku likes to say..

A Few New Things and Arrangements

bought a couple a bookcases to display quite a few new pieces in my collection

I'm all into the japanese kaiju vinyl pieces now..they're typically all hand casted and painted..backrow my small collection of Super7 Mummy Boys: Unpainted GID, SDCC Orange, Gargmel x S7 exclusive, unpainted Gargamel x S7, Moshi Moshi x S7 exclusive...and in front of that, my Tekechan collection(mascot to japan's Godzilla-ya toy shop)

and my growing Giant Robo/Godzilla/Gatchaman/Ultraman collection

picked up those mini ultraman figs(42 of them) on ebay for less than 10 bucks shipped..that big red bastard in the back is Dragun(2ft tall) from the 1970's Shogun Warriors line, I opened a huge can of worms when I bought that one cuz now I gotta collect all of them..Raideen, Manzinger, Gaiking, ect...

headed to Kimono My House with Eriku today and picked up that big beautiful Garada K7..KMH will be closing its retail store in a few months and the shop owner Yuki hooked me up with a good price...it was still pretty pricey but was worth it

and my most expensive and favorite piece to my collection..Bill McMullen's AD-AT...I fauckin love it
