Bollywood Babes

Sarah Shahi

Weinstein back with another installment of the babes of bolly.

This chick isn't Indian but who the hell cares. She is Azerbaijani and hot. If Langdon remembers this phrase, "I have one dollar and seventy five", then it will surely ring true.

She's graced the cover of Maxim and she's been on the L Word television program. She has also starred in Weinstein's dreams, as his maid.

OK, Hanukkah Harry are you listening? Fine, one more.

J-Music Clip of the Week "Gratuitous Loincloth" Edition

Artist: Soulhead Feat. Koda Kumi
Single:
XXX

This is kind of old, but Koda Kumi's moves will be burned into my memory forever. If I had an ounce of rhythm in this creaky old body, I would dance every time I heard this.

Hump Day Eye Candy Extravaganza

so I'm browsing through my computer, as one tends to do, and I come across a folder filled with pics of this young lass...I don't recall when or where I got them from but damnit, I'm happy I found it...Ayumi Kinoshita ladies and gentlemen

Because It Deserves To Be Re-Posted

Holy $h*t Batman!!!

Sounds like the new Terminator movie is gonna be intense!

Studio Pictures

First I find my old astronaut pen, now I find a box full of pictures from the 90's. Before these pictures meet my zippo, I must ask, do kids still go out and get studio pics? Do they pick out an outfit that they can't wear again (cuz it will forever be immortalized in their studio pic), assemble a group of their closest homies and get their picture taken at the mall? I'm not talking about going all-out like glamour shots, cuz that's a few steps below some Barbizon ish. I have younger cousins and the only group pictures I've seen are from school dances, where there are like 40 to 50 high schoolers in a group picture.

Diggin' In The Crates "A J-Pop Holy Grail" Edition

We take a break from vinyl crate digging to show off the newest addition to my J-Pop library:

Artist: AKB48
Title: "Sakura no Hanabiratachi" c/w "Dear my teacher"
Label: AKB48 Records/AKS

AKB48 and their producer, Yasushi Akimoto, self-released their first two singles, this one and "Skirt, Hirari", on their own label prior to signing with DefSTAR/Sony and dropping "Aitakatta" on us all. Locating both of these singles will put you through quite the dogfight on eBay, and I still haven't seen a copy of "Skirt, Hirari" yet, but I will.

If anyone thinks this is quite competist of me to be making a big deal out of this acquisition given that both songs appear on SET LIST: Greatest Songs 2006-2007, it should be pointed out that the mixes of the songs on this single are substantially different than what is on the album.

And then, of course, there's the nifty inserts that came in this CD (and this was for a self-released single!)... first, a square, neatly folded flyer explaining who was in the group at the time and what the concept behind them (theatre and all) was/is about. AKB-Trainspotters will note that the band only consisted of what is now "Team A" at the time.

And then, there's the matter of an individual member card in each copy, presuming that 20 different cards exist. My copy has Tomomi Ohe.

Bollywood Babes

Valene Maharaj

This beauty is not from the land of Bolly, but the lovely island nation of Trinidad and Tobago.

This hoochie mama represented her country in the 2007 Miss World competition.

If you are curious as to why this hot babe would be doing in T&T, well, peeps of Indian descent are the slight majority in that Caribbean island.

Weinstein's going crazy. If Hanukkah Harry can hear me, please make her my wife!
